The treatment requirements vary from one project to another. That’s why Swedish Hydro Solutions works with several different types of treatment chemistry — each developed to address specific challenges.

The process of selecting the appropriate combination of treatment chemistry begins already during the quotation and planning stages. It is always based on the specific conditions of each project — meaning water samples and the preliminary studies we conduct.

Our most common treatment chemistry

• BioMedia®
  A filter media made from pyrolyzed wood. BioMedia® removes dissolved contaminants more effectively than any competing filter technology on the market.
• Chitosan
  A biodegradable and highly effective flocculant produced from crab shells. It treats water by flocculating particle‑bound contaminants.
• Oil absorbent
  A consumable absorbent made from cellulose fibers. It binds oil‑based liquids and other hydrocarbons.
• RedOx3
  A highly effective treatment chemistry designed to remove carcinogenic hexavalent chromium, commonly found in cement. It offers a treatment efficiency of 95–99%.
