Our projects
HexGuard catch basin filter
An energy company in western Sweden evaluated our HexGuard PRO catch basin filters to reduce oil runoff from parking and traffic areas.
Oceana, Liseberg
A major fire at Oceana Liseberg in February 2024 contaminated runoff, and Swedish Hydro Solutions quickly installed treatment for PFAS and metals.
Ersmark Tunnel
On the Norrbotnia line between Umeå and Skellefteå, the Ersmark Tunnel was excavated, and Swedish Hydro Solutions delivered treatment through two facilities.
Stena Recycling
Stena faced high volumes of industrial stormwater after a new retention pond was taken into operation, requiring a robust and reliable treatment setup.
The new Näckenbadet
Open dialogue, creative solutions, and Nacka Municipality’s clear communication about the site’s history enabled an efficient full‑scale water treatment setup.
Bo Altenstam
Bo Altenstam AB in Hörby is a licensed waste operator in Sweden handling cable recycling and various types of metal waste.
The Varberg tunnel
Stricter regulations at the Varberg Tunnel required effective chromium treatment, achieved with RedOx3 and chitosan flocculation from Swedish Hydro Solutions.
Hagalund tunneling project
Chitosan flocculation proved highly effective in large‑scale tunneling work, leading Implenia to acquire a full system for their project.
Johannelund
Over 750 liters of turbid water with chromium entered the Johannelund tunnel each minute, and treatment still reduced hexavalent chromium by 82%.
New tram depot at Ringön
Work on a new tram depot in Gothenburg was halted when benzene was detected, but with rapid water treatment support the project soon resumed safely.
Masthuggskajen
A treatment unit was rapidly installed at the Masthuggskajen project, where chitosan flocculation treated water from a former fuel station and parking area.
Fix factory
For over 60 years the Fix sign was a landmark in Gothenburg. When the factory closed for new housing, Swedish Hydro Solutions managed the water treatment.
West Link – Central station
Project Centralen is NCC’s largest contract to date, part of the West Link in Gothenburg, where Swedish Hydro Solutions managed the water treatment.
PEAB Kållered
Drilling slurry and strict treatment requirements created challenges for Peab at a major retail project in Kållered, as traditional methods were not sufficient.
Malmö new hospital area
Groundwater at Malmö’s new hospital site contained chlorinated solvents, requiring a chemical‑free treatment solution during deep excavation.
Pre-study West Link
Heavy rain filled the site and excavations, creating a bottleneck and requiring treatment of stormwater containing lead, arsenic, copper, and mercury.
Treatment of drilling sludge
Drilling and wire‑sawing in rock use water for cooling, creating fine drilling slurry. Since runoff enters the Göta River, a Natura 2000 area, turbid water must be prevented.
Jernhusen, Region City
Jernhusen planned a new district, Region City, north of Gothenburg Central Station on former fill land where a fuel station and boiler house once stood.
Washington Park Arboretum
The project sparked a close partnership between Jakob and John, who later worked together in the US and helped shape Swedish Hydro Solutions.
